ABURUZA CIDER HOUSE

Apple cider was already being made at the Olatza farmhouse in the 1950s. But it wasn't until 1979 that Juan Jose Aburuza founded the cider house. Many years of hard work and dedication went into making Aburuza one of the leading cider houses in the Basque Country. Still a family operation, Juan Jose's son and daughter now run the ship

Today the Aburuza cider house is the perfect place to taste natural apple cider together with a typical cider house meal. Aburuza features modern installations, comfortable dining rooms, and 29-container vat house. Our "txotx" (enjoying the year's vintage straight from the barrel) is open almost all year round.
